sONGS fOR sUFFERING SAINTS

A NOTE from Eva

“Yea, all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12

This album was birthed out of a deep desire to encourage and bless persecuted Christians. It’s personal for me because I had dear friends and close family members who were incarcerated as I began the recording process.

Oh Jesus, the opening song was written by my Dad during his 101 day stay in Thomson Federal Prison. The intro is the recording of him singing it to us over the phone.  

My dad chose, in the pain and difficulty, to turn his eyes on Jesus and worship.  The words he wrote deeply touched our family as it was a clear reminder to all of us that Dad was walking in the Joy of the Lord.

What crimes were committed that caused my family and friends to walk through indictments, trials, incarceration, house arrest, and probation? As an act of Christian love and interposition, we sat down in front of the doors to an abortion center that was scheduled to murder unborn babies.  We prayed, we sang, we offered help, and we interposed.  Our actions were 100% peaceful as we opposed the heinous violence that poisons and dismembers the innocent.

Eventually all of us were granted full unconditional pardons on January 23rd 2025.

Through all of it the Lord was faithful! He is worthy of all praise and glory. 

My hope and prayer is that these songs of prayer and worship would be of comfort to those who are suffering for righteousness sake.  My goal is to make Songs For Suffering Saints available to prisoners across the USA through J-Pay, GTL, and Corrlinks.  That’s what motivated this whole project. I imagined my loved ones being able to plug in their headphones and find comfort in calming, worshipful, prayerful songs that point them back to Jesus.  When our hearts and lives are fully surrendered to Jesus, we have a freedom no chains can take from us.
